The Data Sources tab displays the data sources, such as local user, EDI, XPS, In gate, web user, or XPS import for the various property groups. You can edit an existing data source but you cannot add or delete a data source from this tab. A data source is also assigned a data quality indicator at the code level which determines the precedence of a data source. For more information, see Data Quality Indicators (on page 1).

You use the property groups and data sources to define the EDI posting rules.

To see which properties are included in a property group, see the Posting Rules view.

See Data Quality view (on page 1) to set the data quality precedence for the following fields:

• Equipment Build Date

• Equipment Csc Expiration

• Equipment Height Mn

• Equipment Strength Code

• Equipment Tare Weight Kg

• Equipment Type

No other equipment attributes are supported by the Data Quality view.

Notes

• N4 picks the Equipment Type entity from their respective source tables, validates it against the unit and updates/restricts based on the data quality configuration.

• When you post the Preadvise EDI message for a container without the equipment type, N4 does not overwrite the equipment type to UNKN if the Data Quality Indicator of the existing data source is not higher.
